I have a business credit card that will charge off soon and I can't do anything about it. What can I do to protect what little income I have from being taken by the creditor? can they just confiscate everything I own when it's a business card? I still need to have operating cash to keep a roof over my head. I know a business card is different than a personal card, but I don't know what my legal rights are at this point.
I dont know much about this, but i would see if you can settle with the lender for a lower price than what is owed.

Good advice, in fact I used a quote of yours (fully attributed) in a blog post :"If your business card doesn't have Twitter on it - throw it out!"
I applied for the personal card on the initial launch day and got an instant approval. Faxed my statement, and did the required spend. I read Gary’s blog today and applied for the business card. Got an instant approval over the phone. No mention of a 45 day wait.
This. How much ddoes the credit card charge the merchant anyway? I think i heard 3% for Visa and Mastercard, 5% for AMEX and Infinite Visa. With rewards typically being 1-2%, they're probably still making cash from you no matter what.
Using my business credit card, I pre-ordered an iPad 2 on the day they went on sale. I picked it up less than 24 hours later. The store had sold out, but mine was waiting for me. I only had to wait 10 minutes for the clerk to find it in the back of the store.
Needs more context. "Check Card" is Visa's brand name for a debit card. A "business card" is a card issued to and for the use of a business. "Platinum" is basically meaningless except in bullion and American Express, and only one of those is holding its value.
Microsoft Word ... go under tools / Letters and Mailings / envelopes and labels. Then click on the tab "labels" and go to options .. scroll down to find 'business cards'
Another GREAT site is http://www.office.microsoft.com .. do to templates and search for anything you need there.

well, i tried for the biz card and got the instant decline. wife & i got approved for the personal card – wife in 3 days, mine took 12. 3 hard pulls for each personal app. haven’t checked my report to see if they pulled me again but i doubt it since the denial came back in 3-4 seconds.
Well, I use several similar but different first names across the various areas of my life: Jerry as my “business card” name, Dusty to my friends, J.D. as my “pen name” (my publisher’s suggestion). I’ve occasionally adopted brief throwaway pseudonyms for various purposes, mostly humorous.
Nice reminder to us folks who can sell a case, but have trouble marketing our services. Item no. 3 (have business cards at all times) was the greatest advice I ever got from a former partner of my dad. Business cards are a medium of exchange in the networking world, and not having them with you leaves you without “marketing coin.”
I can't speak for monsda, but where I work the accounting folks couldn't care less about dollar amounts, but when they see the detail they turn into a bunch of whining gossipers. So you learn to either turn in the non-itemized receipt or get that stuff billed to a personal card (if it's really personal).
I’d love to win cause I NEVER win anything. It’s not for a lack of trying, I enter contests all the time and never win. Even the Put your business card in drawings never seem to call my name. Please pick me, my family loves to camp and we could use a new tent.
Yes to all of the above. I carry both personal and business cards, and give one or the other depending on the situation (social or business). And I have also been told that the personal cards are hopelessly old-fashioned. Maybe mine should read, "Anachronisms R Us", eh?
I started my own business, forming a LLC. Should I open a business credit card account? . Business Credit Card
Isn’t the employer responsible for income taxes if personal and business charges are on personal card (for airline miles) and the business pays the credit card balances?

i feel like Duck and JT from the 5 heartbeats when they get the business card in the bathroom
Great article for a design perspective. I am a printer and I would offer one piece of advice. No matter how creative your business card is, think about how that card is presented in the final product. Think about paper stock, finishing options (Matt Lamination, Gloss Laminated, Spot UV, Foil blocked, Embossed, shaped, cut out etc) and overall feel of the card. You can have the best design in the world, but if you have it printed onto cheap stock then you will only be perceived as cheap.
RT Last night I saw some guy give a girl what I thought was his business card but the bartender told me it was a card .. I was confused
just had a power outage. Starbucks cashiers didn't know how to use manual credit card charge method, because they never saw it before.
