Divorced 7 yrs and still receiving credit card offers in that name?

I've been divorced for 7 yrs and legally took my maiden name back. I still receive credit card offers for my former married name. What can I do to stop this?

opt out 888-567-8688 and this will stop almost all offers in the mail in just a few weeks

My dog has received credit card offers in the mail. Go figure.

You're getting these offers because the credit bureaus sell a limited amount of your information to them so they can make you an offer.
It sounds like your previous name is still on your credit reports.
You can call them and request it be updated.
Here's the phone numbers:
Transunion: 1-877-322-8228
Experian: 1- 888 397 3742
Equifax : 1-800-685-1111

The three credit bureaus already track your credit, that's the whole issue, we don't have access to this very important record that they're keeping of us unless we pay them. We had to legislate in the once a year free report, and they fought that tooth and nail.

I do not think that you will ever find out the telephone numbers as the celebrities like to keep themselves private. You could always go on to the official web sites for the above celebrities and there might be a contact email address, if you send the email on the official site you might get an answer back from the celebrities.

Great! Stop me if I'm pushing my luck here, but "maybe you should try out a free trial now, anyway, while you wait - since it's free" :) Oh and by the way, this isn't like an AOL-style "500 free hours but impossible to cancel" free trial. We don't ask for your credit card until you actually say that you want to purchase the service.

This can only be explained through a progressive manufacture of morons who believe that the American Dream is instant gratification. I wonder how long the fragile goods from China, the cheap labor from Mexico, and the federal government’s AAA credit card will delay the correction of their mistaken perception.

Call *all three* credit bureaus and initiate a credit freeze. There are various types of freezes and not all of them are free, or may cost a small amount to lift the freeze.

Excellent column, Charles. I urge readers to read the AARP survey report included in the link-- the study results are chilling. AARP conducted a national survey of adults aged 50 and above. These are largely Americans who should be in the highest-paid phases of their working careers or recently retired-- hence, reasonably financially secure. Instead, the study reveals higher than average levels of unemployment and underemployment and substantial concern about being able to afford retirement. Close to a third have fallen behind in credit card debt. Many feel they need to work part-time into their retirement years to control expenses.

Do you have any insight into how their pricing model works, as a technology-based middle man? Do they take a small chunk of each transaction (Like credit card fee small, 1-3%), or do they see themselves more like an ad network, closer to the 20%-30% commission?

Once logged in to [the site reserved for Citi's credit card customers], they leapfrogged between the accounts of different Citi customers by inserting vari-ous account numbers into a string of text located in the browser’s address bar.

  12. Paras, these are three excellent tips. With respect to the call-to-action buttons, marketers may also want to consider integrating phone numbers as well. Depending on the product, service, device their viewing the landing page on or customer preference, individuals may be more inclined to call than complete a form or purchase online. A call tracking solution can be used to track and record these offline conversions, and then feed source data directly into web analytics to form a complete lead conversion picture for more effective analysis.

Only the hypnotized bots will defend her. Others who have reasoning skills will see that the Palins weren't good parents. Most parents would ask the "where, what, who, when, how" of parenting when their 15 year-old daughter is going away overnight with friends. They'd call the parent or chaperone involved where the overnight plans are all about and where they're staying, with who, and what's involved. They'd have phone numbers at the ready. How could a girl at this age get under the radar and go camping with her peers without any parents knowing? It's BS.
