Is it normal practice for credit card companies to send, pre-approved or not pre-approved, small business credit cards to people who do not own small businesses? Have you ever received one?
only in the companies name and then with your name as some thing else.

The down side for technicians is that Avaya will make it difficult if not impossible to keep Nortel customers systems up and running. There is probably some truth to that statement… Credit card companies will only make money when people use the cards, so they don’t want their customers to fear using the cards.
Finance charges would be the main thing I would look at when considering a credit card. If you have such high finance charges and can only pay the minimum, it could pose a problem to where you’re paying for many years down the line than what you would like to. I found a possible solution is to call the credit card companies and ask them to reduce your rates. They’ll most likely accommodate you, especially if you’re on an automatic pay plan, rather than lose your business and have you close your card completely.
But, name for me a small business that makes over $250k/year. I bet if you put all the small businesses in a ball park, you could not hit a small business making over $250k/year.

It seems odd to me that charging business credit cards would cost you more with a merchant than charging normal consumer credit cards. Are businesses really more likely to incur chargebacks or generally be problematic than consumers?
