Is there any way to get credit card companies to stop mailing me credit offers?

I am continuously getting these credit card offers in the mail. I am concerned both about the security risks of these as well as the trees they waste this way. what can you do to get them to stop sending them?

Nope..
You can't stop spam...

Nope. And in the 5 minutes it took for you to ask that question, your identification has been sold to 15 different companies already.

It is difficult to "live off the grid".

If you're talking about junk mail through the post office and not spam, then scratch out or cut out your personally identifiable information and use their postage paid returns to send them back junk mail.

If everyone does this, then these companies will have double the postage and handling costs. Hit 'em where it hurts.

This will help. Call 1-888-5OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688) or go to https://www.optoutprescreen.com/

This should keep the Credit Reporting Agencies from providing the pre-screen info that the credit card offers rely upon. It may not stem the tide completely but it should reduce it to a trickle.

Good luck.

    – I still get anything that has my address on it, but the “no junk mail” sign has cut down on flyers and the like (anything that doesn’t have an address on it, basically). Before this, we got a big handful of junk every day; now, hardly any.

RT The good thing about junk mail is that you don't have to write back to cheap viagra and "package" enlargement. They have no feelings.

PLEASE. GO GET THEM. I am so happy this is happening. I am fed up with Facebook. I am fed up with what Google is doing. My email box is littered with emails (because I decided one day to let all the junk mail through to see what companies knew about me) suggesting I stay in places I've visited lately and truly some intrusive stuff.

Might be worth checking other insurance companies. We’re with Amica. Their rates were literally half of what we were paying previously. Excellent customer service, service- and community-oriented, option to become part of the ownership mutual, and little to no junk mail or offers from their “partners” are more plusses. (Yeah, that was really bad grammar…)
