As far as I understand it, if you use a business credit card to collect rewards points, those rewards points (or dollars) belong to the company (and if you use them for personal purposes, it is a taxable benefit). If, however, you use a personal credit card to charge business expenses and then have the business compensate you for the dollars it spent on your credit card, then those reward points are yours personally.

The basic American Express Cards are Green. But they did not start off as a "Credit" Card but a "Charge" Card. The difference was that with the Charge Card you were expected to pay back the balance each month, where a Credit Card you can carry over the balance.

Mexico: once, when the peso was being devalued, a girlfriend of mine went to a bank to convert dollars to pesos and the teller pocketed the money and then told her to go away. She called me in NYC and i cabled her some money via American Express which meant it would be safely turned into pesos!

Except one: American Express, a company I could actually bring myself to trust. The problem? I can’t get their personal savings site to load on my computer. No idea why. Do you have to have an Amex card to get an Amex savings account? It might be worth it…

Yup Visa as well as Mastercards work. Do not get American Express though! And remember, for them to work you need to register your Postal Code (or Zip Code in your case) online to enable online transactions.
