Why am i getting credit card offers when im under 18?

i got a capital one credit card offer in the mail when im only 15.about 6 months ago i applied for a credit card with them but i was underage.so after all this time they send me an offer after 6-8 months?what could this mean?

They don't have accurate records of you for some reason.

My grandson is 5 years old, and a few months ago he got an invitation to join AARP (retired persons' membership club). LOL. I thought that was funny.

He also got an application for a credit card. It turned out that there was the idea that someone had taken his name and used it for something that gave these places the idea that he was old enough.

I'd check into that if I were you. You may want to contact credit agencies and ensure that you do not have someone out there stealing your identity. Ask your parents to help you out with that.

You are in someone's mailing list. That's all.

Try this: You never know
go to ANNUALCREDITREPORT.COM
see if you can get your 3 credit reports for free
do not give them a credit card number - these reports are free
don't do the FICO thing - its just a way for them to make money

On those reports you might spot a place where you can opt out of mail solicitations - if it bothers you. Or you can go to Experian.com. get the address to the opt out of mailings. Mail them a request to take you off mailing lists for solicitations.

One more thing, if you have trouble getting your reports they will require you to send a copy of id and an utility bill with parents last name. Follow through, someone could be messing with your credit.

It does not sound like it. Cannot see how they can contact the credit agencies if they have no proof you have received a loan.
I think that is a try on.

I have miles with UAL, AA, and Delta, and have found that Delta miles are by far the least useful and most expensive to use. Perhaps because they have been plugging their credit card offer so much recently, but they really have jacked up how many miles it takes to go anywhere these days. A flight from SFO to ORD on Delta during a non-peak time might, for instance, cost me 45,000 miles one way. In comparison, AA at its non-peak for the same flight will have 17,500 miles one-way, and UAL will also offer something around 15-20k miles one-way non-peak.

We also shouldn't forget that credit agencies downgraded Egypt when its people chose to oust a dictator.

Interesting ideas but the RunKeeper website is an absolute fail from a design prospective: a simple account login screen with no further details about the site. There’s more on the blog if you happen to notice the link at the bottom of the screen. I for one would like to know what information is collected, presentation options, compatible devices, and security (employers, heath insurers, credit agencies, etc. are searching for and collecting this information for obvious reasons), without having to setup an account first.

He'd make his profit offering to accept 20%-25% of what they owed (or payments toward that), then report "on-time as agreed" to the credit agencies when they paid him.

The problem with the credit agencies is similar to a referee who bets in the game he referees.

Exactly.Certainly has nothing to do with the middle watching Greece/Ireland/Spain/Portugal collapse under their own system. Definitely isn't over credit agencies considering to downgrade the US Debt. It's simply that millions of Americans decided to turn into nut-job bigots because they suddenly became more afraid of ???.Just a little tip, for what it's worth: demonizing the other side is only effective when you have a significant majority. When you try to demonize the other side without the majority, it only alienates people from your own point of view.

Chase credit card offer different cards for your every need credit card offer

  10. I’m not familiar with the credit card offer that you mentioned, and maybe it’s a targeted offer, but spending $1,500 per month for 6 months would require $9,000 in purchases for a $250 bonus, which is not exactly an optimal exchange rate.
